Academic Register’s Office

The Office of the Academic Registrar derives its mandate from the University and other Tertiary institutions’ Act 2001 as amended. It is headed by the Academic Registrar who is responsible to the Vice Chancellor. The Academic Registrar assists the First Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of academics affairs to administer and organize all academic matters including admission, Development, Implementation and Review of the Curriculum, undergraduate and postgraduate studies, examination management, research and publication. The Academic Registrar's department of Busitema University is divided into two sections: Admissions and Student Records, which is overseen by Mr. Ivan Mugabi, and Teaching, Learning, Examination Management, and Curriculum Development, which is overseen by Mr. Willy Kisaka. Dept.V.C Finance Administration

The office of the DVC F&A derives its mandate from the University and other Tertiary institutions’ Act 2001 as amended. As such, the DVC F&A assists the Vice-Chancellor in the performance of his functions and in that regard, DVC F&A oversees the Finances and administration of the University. She is responsible for the planning and development of the University in addition to Performing such other functions that may be delegated to her by the Vice-Chancellor or assigned by the University Council. Office of the University Secretary . The major mandate of this office is the general administration of the University, including the custody of the seal and administration of its assets. Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics Affairs

According to the University and other Tertiary institutions’ Act 2001 as amended. The office of DVC-AA is mandated to have responsibility over the Academic affairs of the University and in the absence of the Vice-Chancellor, DVC-AA performs the functions of Vice-Chancellor in addition to performing such other functions that may be delegated to him or her by the Vice Chancellor or assigned by the University Council. Dean of Students

The Dean of Students caters for student affairs in three main areas: University Halls of Residence, where in conjunction with the Wardens ensures that appropriate accommodation facilities and good catering services are provided to students; Recreation and Games - the Department in liaison with the Sports and Recreation staff organizes competitions and sports activities for students; and the Spiritual Centers, where one Imam and two Christian Chaplains within the main campus provide the Spiritual Services. The Dean of Students also gives oversight to the Students' Guild, the Student governing body. The elections of the Guild President, Resident Campus Commissioners (RCC) and the Campus Leadership leadership are organized by the Dean of students' office and the Halls of residence are voting. The Finance Department is headed by the University Bursar's office whose mandate is derived from the University and other Tertiary institutions’ Act 2001 as amended. The University Busar is responsible to the Vice Chancellor. Internal Audit

The primary role of the Directorate of Internal Audit is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add, value and improve the effectiveness of the University's governance, risk management and internal control. It is the internal audit's responsibility to provide an independent and continuous risk-based appraisal of the University's functions to ensure that the University's systems and processes of controls are adequate and effective in achieving University objectives, and to assist. Directorate of Health Services

The University Medical Center provides primary healthcare services to all students. Nurses and a Lab Technician are at the University daily. All our medical staff are well trained and have valid medical qualifications. They are engaged to promote high standards of health and wellbeing and offer an expanded range of services at the University. The medical center also ensures proper management and maintenance of curative and preventive health services to both students and staff of the University in accordance with the National health standards. The Directorate of Human Resources exists to assist the University and its employees in the development, implementation, and assessment of a complete personnel, training, and employment relations system. Directorate of Institutional Advancement

The Directorate of Institutional Advancement is responsible for managing the University’s reputation through media relations, brand management, outreach, strategic marketing, digital communications, community, public relations, and Supporting the University management in achieving the aims and objectives outlined within the University Strategy. Branding and brand positioning development and the production of toolkits required for its implementation across the University and beyond is one of the key roles of the unit. As such the mandate of the Institutional Advancement Unit extends into the external and internal publics of the university. Maintaining a healthy relationship between the University and its stakeholders is a vital role that the Directorate of Institutional Advancement plays directly or indirectly.

Directorate of Planning and Development

The Directorate of Planning at Busitema University plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating the development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of university-wide planning, investment, and resource mobilization processes.
