According to the University and other Tertiary institutions’ Act 2001 as amended. The office of DVC-AA is mandated to have responsibility over the Academic affairs of the University and in the absence of the Vice-Chancellor, DVC-AA performs the functions of Vice-Chancellor in addition to performing such other functions that may be delegated to him or her by the Vice Chancellor or assigned by the University Council.
